前言

展览的名字《你的眼睛与我之间》 (SOMETHING USELESS)似乎这是一问一答也是相互无关联的回路。这是很长一段时间对于绘画真实与虚幻的那一层物质由此产生的无知感的自白。眼睛的认识和理解我们所看见的事物之间永远存在着一瞬间的缝隙,我能做的以及我想做的或许就是把这个暧昧不清的缝隙放大一点,或许在充满窥视,进入,模拟仪式的结果依旧只是SOMETHING USELESS。
“因为时间永远分叉,通往无数个未来”。此次展览部分之一空间装置《房间与进入》延续了2016年《色子》个展中空间的探讨——当物占有墙体与空间被物占有之间存在着某种私密隐喻的关联。如同窥探一段段记忆,同时又被物和隐秘占有。至于观者,是进入是旁观是倾听,都是打开一个个分叉的房间。此次《房间与进入》当人置身于空间内也被动的成为作品的一部分,进入与作品形成了一种新的关系,那一瞬间即又产生了看似进入又旁观的缝隙。继而对空间、人及观者心理的关系有一个多方位的折射探索。

常理是优秀的艺术家超越了身份、性别、教育等等,但如果艺术是人类最神秘感性体验的产物的话,我越来越相信女性在这方面是得天独厚的。也许自语,梦呓,窥视,性意识,无序,反逻辑,背视公共价值,生死爱恨的纠结徘徊,现实与幻想的去边界化,情感情绪的密码迷恋,对第三感觉的直觉体验……等等是许多注重内心叙事的艺术家尤其是女性艺术家的特质,而贾欣雨同样如此。在她各种材料形态的作品中,暧昧和欲言又止的表述,与其说向人们展开了一个窥视内心的窗口,不如说是打开了一个一个来自各个时空的抽屉。
也许语言对她来说是其次的,因为她正处于企望表达的欲望之中,也许语言才是最重要的,因为这些故事的主角并不一定生活在故事之中--她在窥视镜中的自我的时候,也许忘了镜中反应出的那个人并不一定就是自己。这是一个悖论:我们希望是故事本身感人还是通过讲述让故事令人感动?
千百年来,只要人性还未变异,人类生活的故事实质上大同小异,好的电影不论产自哪个时代,总是令人回味。无论如何,贾欣雨是一个让我们值得期待的艺术家。

Common sense is that excellent artists transcend their identities, gender, education, etc. However, if art is deemed as an outcome of the most mysterious and sentimental human experiences, I increasingly believe women are naturally blessed with the ability of this aspect.Perhaps, female artists like Jia Xinyu are particularly good at such aspects that emphasize more on inner feelings including soliloquy,balderdash, prying, sex consciousness, randomness, anti-logic, contradiction of public value, struggling and wandering with life, death, love and hatred, obscure boundary of reality and illusion, obsession decipher of emotional moods, and intuitional experience of the third sense and so on. In her works of all material shapes, her ambiguous unspoken expression seems more to open drawers from various spaces, rather than just unfolds to people a doorway to peeping into an inner world.
Probably, for her, language is not that important.Language could be the most important only when she desires the expression. For that the leading roles of these stories do not necessarily live in the stories----as she peeps into herself in mirror,
she might forget that the reactor may not be herself. This is a paradox: would we like the story itself moving or would we like the story to be more moved by narration?
Over thousands of years, as long as human nature does not change, human life stories are almost the same in essence. Good movies, regardless of the production age, are always impressively unforgettable. Anyway,we can not deny that Jia Xinyu is a promising artist.
